Today, we celebrate women and their undefeated spirit. 8th March, internationally declared women’s day born out of women’s right struggle in 1909. While we should celebrate the womanhood every single day, it’s a good thing to have one special day dedicated to women power. We recognize the struggle and fight several women went through for the basic rights and thank them for it. While we applaud them, we must also work towards women empowerment continuously because the job is not done yet. The fact that we need campaigns to save girl child is proof enough that we have a long way to go before we can declare this world “Equal”. Let’s take a positive approach towards women empowerment and work towards it.

We shall also celebrate every woman and their individuality. We know that every woman is different and we should value them for their choices and individuality. It all starts from childhood, the better we teach our kids the better we can hope for the future. Let’s start by teaching young boys to respect girls and teaching girls that they are no less than anyone. Let’s make every women’s day a little better by working every year for it.

It’s 2019, that means it has been 110 years since the first Women’s day. With every passing year, women seem to achieve more and more. There is so much to celebrate today, the woman in the sport, the activist, the businesswoman, the homemaker, the doctor, the teacher, oh women are everywhere today and they are winning! Here’s hoping for a better future for women. A better future for women means a better future for the world.
